Depending on availability, you can book me anywhere from 24 months out to 2 months out! Legally, the government requires 30 days notice before a marriage can be officiated, but if you’re in a pinch, there can be certain exceptions. Ring me and we can chat. Looking forward to chatting!!
Yes! Anywhere within a 100km radius of Melbourne. Anything outside of that and let’s talk! Low key, I simply adore an out of town wedding and am very happy to travel to the south of France for you and your betrothed.
Yes I can! If you’re after pre or post ceremony cocktail style music, I’m your gal (and also your celebrant). Get in touch and we can discuss your grand music plans for the big day.
You can find celebrants for as low as $400, and you can find celebrants who are charging in the mid $3000s. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. I don’t list my prices on my website as each quote is customised based on what my couple is after for their ceremony. Rest assured, I charge fairly and in line with my years of experience holding the microphone.
To be a celebrant in Australia, you have to study a certificate 4 in celebrancy. Once you have completed your study, you must be authorised by the Attorney General’s Office to officiate marriages within Australia. Getting authorised is a 3 to 6 month process including a national police check, and requires referees from within your community. Rest assured, your celebrant is legit!
Fair question. Even though it appears celebrants rock up on the day for 20 minutes of work, there is a lot of time spent behind the scenes crafting your ceremony. Each booking takes between 15 - 20 hours of work in the leadup to your ceremony. This work includes back and forth emails with couples, planning meetings, taking care of all official paperwork, writing your fully personalised ceremony, liaising with your other wedding vendors to ensure a smooth wedding day for all, and finally, performing the ceremony on the day! If I’m your celebrant, this will also include use of my state of the art PA system, the knowledge that I will swan around pre-ceremony hyping up all your guests and the promise that I will not be lurking in the background of your first kiss and thus in all of your gorgeous photos!
